Because parenting is hard enough without reading a book that feels like homework.

Let’s be honest—most parenting books start with good intentions… and end up as doorstops, bedside dust collectors, or something you meant to finish between tantrums, homework meltdowns and cold cups of tea.

Raising Tiny Humans Successfully is refreshingly different.

Written by Kerre Burley, an internationally recognised family expert with over 50 years of experience, this book is practical, relatable & sprinkled with humour—because if we can’t laugh while raising tiny humans, we might just cry. This is a guide for real parents, raising real children, often while wondering who’s actually in charge here.

Why parents love this book

✔️  Easy to read (even when you’re exhausted)

✔️ No judgement, no jargon, no unrealistic expectations

✔️ Practical strategies you can use straight away

✔️ Gentle humour that reminds you you’re not alone

The SleepTalk® Process (yes, it really is this simple)

Discover a gentle, proven nightly process that takes just a few minutes and works while your child sleeps. No charts, no timers, no negotiating with small humans who suddenly need water… again. Parenting advice that doesn’t feel like a lecture. This book won’t tell you you’re doing it wrong. Instead, it offers supportive guidance that feels like a conversation with someone who’s been there—and lived to tell the tale.

Modern parenting, minus the overwhelm

From screens and schedules to emotional meltdowns and communication breakdowns, the strategies in this book are designed for today’s families—without adding another thing to your to-do list.

Because parents matter too

Chapters like “Me Time for Mums and Dads” gently remind you that you’re not meant to pour from an empty cup (especially one that’s already been reheated twice).

Written by someone who truly gets it

Kerre Burley isn’t just an expert—she’s a mother, a grandmother, and someone who has supported families around the world for decades. Her approach is warm, realistic and deeply reassuring. This isn’t a book about being a “perfect” parent.
It’s about being a present, confident and supported. Each chapter finishes with small, realistic action steps, no fluff, no overwhelm.

Perfect for parents who want to:

Feel less overwhelmed and more confident

Support their child’s emotional wellbeing—without battles

Laugh, learn and feel validated along the way

 Actually finish a parenting book

Authentic and deeply appreciated

An absorbing, authentic and exceptionally experienced voice in the cacophony of parenting ideas.
From the first sentence – with its ‘let’s be real’, Kerre shows and offers advice and motivation for 3D action in the real world. This isn’t an academic text book.

This is something you can put into practice immediately and you can bet it works.
Highly readable, this book brought many a smile and head nods. It also offered me alternatives to certain behaviours that made dinner time more enjoyable, just for starters. The weekends became better as the kids had already completed things so we could go and enjoy the time together instead of grumbling about stuff incomplete. Thoughtful questions and actionable steps.

Highly recommended, Kara McLeod

Ideal for parents looking for answers

Thought Provoking!! There are lots of ideas in this book. I suggest you just pick one that speaks to you and start with that. Take it step by step rather than trying to read it all and do it all at once. It’s jam packed with helpful suggestions. This is a book for those who want solutions they can start implementing today.

Hi there, please let me start by saying that this book has been a God send!

I had struggled for 6 months to get my daughter (now 5 & a half) to stay dry at night or wake up and go to the toilet before I found you book, and within 2 months of utilising your process – SUCCESS!  She has been consistently dry now for over one month and we are both much happier for it!   T.H  USA

A Word From the Author

                                 Kerre Burley

Let’s be honest—parenting is the ultimate rollercoaster. It’s messy, magical, exhausting, hilarious and, at times, downright ridiculous.

One minute you’re wiping mashed banana off the ceiling; the next you’re Googling, “Is it normal for a toddler to bark at strangers?” (For the record—yes. Sometimes.) I get it. I really do.

Every parent starts out wanting to raise kind, confident, well-adjusted little humans. Then reality hits—along with a tidal wave of advice from parenting blogs, TikTok “experts,” well-meaning friends, and that one relative (you know the one) who always has an opinion. Add in unsolicited commentary from strangers while your child is mid–supermarket meltdown, and suddenly confidence feels optional.

Here’s what I want you to know straight away: you’re doing better than you think. And the very fact that you’ve picked up this book—or even landed on this page—tells me you care deeply. That matters more than any parenting trend ever could.

There may not be a universal parenting manual (wouldn’t that be nice?), but Raising Tiny Humans Successfully is designed to offer practical tools, reassurance and gentle guidance—without judgement, guilt or unrealistic expectations.

This isn’t about doing everything “right.” It’s about finding what works for your family. Throughout this book, I encourage you to trial, test and trust your instincts. No two children are the same. Some arrive calm and adaptable; others appear to have been born negotiating bedtime like high-powered lawyers.

The key is curiosity, flexibility—and the willingness to get it gloriously wrong from time to time. If you’re reading this feeling overwhelmed (or covered in jam, or both), you might want to flip straight to Chapter 7.

That’s where I introduce the SleepTalk® Process—a simple, science-backed, almost-too-good-to-be-true tool that has been quietly transforming families for over 50 years. It’s one of the most effective parenting supports I’ve ever encountered—and no, it doesn’t rely on bribery… although I’ll admit, while raising my own pack of five boys, I was never morally opposed to it. (Pack. Tribe. Same thing.)

Parenting isn’t all rainbows and giggles. There will be epic fails—like the first, second and third time, I dropped my boys at school on a Saturday. (In my defence, the third time was a pupil-free day, so that one really shouldn’t count.)

But there will also be heart-squeezing moments of connection and pride that make everything else fade into the background.

This book isn’t about perfection. Forget Instagram-worthy parenting. Go for real. Go for connection.

Highlight, scribble in the margins, skip ahead, go back, or re-read or register while hiding in the pantry or under the bed. There is no “right” way to use this book or audio)—only the way that works for you.

Celebrate the small wins—like getting everyone to school on time (even if you live in the same street or its Saturday!).

Find your people. Laugh at the chaos. Enjoy the madness & feel good about what your doing.

And most importantly, be the reason your tiny human smiles today, even if some days, “success” simply means everyone is mostly fed, reasonably clean, and not wearing anything inside out.
